In order to run PlasmaPlugin you need AmigaAMP. You will only
see a spectrum if you use AmigaAMP's internal Mpeg-decoding
and not mpega.library. This will only work if you have a PPC.
How to use PlasmaPlugin:
If you run PlasmaPlugin without options, it will open its
own screen. If there is no config file (default is .plasmaconfig)
a screenmode requester will pop up. There you should choose
a 640x480 screenmode with 256 colors. The screenmode will be
saved in the config file for later use.
PlasmaPlugin window
Tell PlasmaPlugin to open a window on the default public screen.
(Mostly Workbench)
PlasmaPlugin [filename]
Instruct PlasmaPlugin to use the file [filename] as config file
instead of PROGDIR:.plasmaconfig. If the file does not exist
it will be created.
Other options:
Window Open a window on workbench instead of an own screen
NoTitle Don't display the title when running on an own screen
AutoMute Build and use database to set the volume on
Prelude Soundcards. If an entry in the database is
detected the volume will be muted accordingly. If
there is no entry PlasmaPlugin will measure the
loudness and create an entry which will be used
the next time. This is good if you have mpeg's
which are too low mixed with mpeg's which are too
loud. Hopefully they are now played with the same
loudness.
Keyboard commands:
ESC Quit
W Switches from screen- to window-mode
S Switches from window to screen
T toggles display of current title
M toggles AutoMute
Many thanks go to my beta-testers:
Flavio Cirri
Roland de Herder
and naturally to Thomas Wenzel who wrote AmigaAMP and helped
me on many occasions.
